WHAT IS HEADLIGHT RESTORATION?
Headlight restoration is a process that restores the clarity and brightness of faded or cloudy headlights. Over time, headlights can become hazy or yellow due to exposure to harsh elements, reducing visibility and compromising safety.
Headlight restoration involves removing the oxidized layer on the headlight lenses and restoring them to their original condition. This can be achieved through various methods, such as wet sanding, polishing, and applying a protective coating.

HEADLIGHT RESTORATION MYTHS & FACTS
Myth 4: Rainwater is enough to clean your car.
Fact: Rainwater contains pollutants and minerals that can leave water spots and residue on your paint. Instead of cleaning, rain can actually contribute to dirt buildup and potential damage over time.
Myth 3: Regular car washes prevent headlights from turning yellow.
Oxidation and yellowing of headlights are caused by UV exposure, heat, and environmental elements, not just dirt buildup. Even if headlights are washed regularly, they can still fade without proper protection.
Myth 2: Headlights that look clear are in perfect condition.
Even if headlights seem clear, UV damage and micro-cracks may still be present. These issues reduce light output, so restoration ensures that headlights perform at their best.
Myth 1: Restored headlights will stay clear indefinitely.
Without the right protective measures, such as a UV-resistant coating, headlights will eventually oxidize and become cloudy again. Proper care can extend their clarity, but they require periodic maintenance.
FAQS
Why did my headlights fade?
Headlights have a clear coat layer just like the paint on your car, and they need to be protected with wax or a ceramic coating just like your paint.
How long will they last until they fade again?
It really depends on the vehicle and how often it sits outside in the sunlight. The best thing you can do for your headlights is always keep them protected with wax, same thing goes for your paint.
